Band Leader Frank Martin is accused of murdering the shady owner of the club where he's performing. He is innocent of the crime, but his only alibi is Ruth Chapman, a sexy blonde singer who was with him at the time of the murder. When Ruth disappears, and cannot be found, Frank is tried, convicted and sentenced to death.
