The
Sea Gypsies (1978)
Synopsis: Robert Logan
enjoyed a brief period of fame at the end of the 1970s in a string of family
films, most of which found him and his offspring battling against the elements.
In this one, he and his family find themselves trapped on the Alaskan coast
when their ship sinks during a storm.
All the usual clichés are
present and correct, but children will lap it up and the scenery looks great.
It's competently directed by Stewart Raffill, who worked with Logan on similar
projects Across the Great Divide and The Adventures of the Wilderness
Family.
