Synopsis: This is a good
little crime thriller, set "up north", with Diana Dors playing the sexy vamp
(or is that tramp?) girlfriend, Calico, of Terence Morgan's staid little office
worker, Dave. Things heat up when his shady, and much better-looking, brother
Johnny, played by George Baker, arrives from London on the run from "the boys",
and there is an instant attraction between him and Calico. She hatches a plan to get the two brothers to rob the safe where her boyfriend works, and that's when things begin to take off. Calico is a hostess in a club/dance-hall/dive, similar to today's hostesses' in lap/pole/table dancing clubs but minus the nudity! She looks completely out of place in the grim surroundings and looks more suited to London/Soho, which is where she may really want to be.
