The Reckoning (1969)(dvd)

Synopsis: A tough but troubled businessman is forced to deal with the chip on his shoulder when he learns his father is dying. Returning to Liverpool and his roots, he decides to take revenge on the teenager who attacked his father. An adult drama about class in Britain, held together with a muscular performance from Williamson as the dislikeable hero, it's by the same team that made The Bofors Gun the year before. This is no Room at the Top, but it's well handled nonetheless.
