The
Pursuit of DB Cooper (1981)
Synopsis: A thriller that
begins with Treat Williams jumping out of a plane with a bag containing
$200,000. Amazingly, this airborne robbery, with its James Bond-style stunt,
really happened and DB Cooper vanished into myth. This is where fiction takes
over, conjuring up Cooper's subsequent life and the attempts of a former Green
Beret (Robert Duvall) to track him down.
Sadly, the picture bungles a
nifty idea and it's rarely more than routine. Buzz Kulik replaced John
Frankenheimer as director before Roger Spottiswoode was brought in to finish
the job.
Cast: Robert Duvall, Treat Williams Runtime:
96 min
