The Master Touch (1972)(Region 2 dvd)

Synopsis: Kirk Douglas came to Europe for Michele Lupo's middling entry in the series of “impossible” heist movies inspired by Rififi. Gimmickry was key to selling these pictures. Therefore, in addition to tackling a state-of-the-art computerised safe, Douglas has to teach his blagging skills to circus acrobat Giuliano Gemma, so he can get past the devilish security system.

It starts slowly, with Florinda Bolkan trying to talk her newly liberated hubby out of the job. But following a gleefully unlikely car chase, the action settles into the raid itself and, while it's not exactly nail-biting, it's still proficiently tense.
