The
Man Who Had Power Over Women (1970)
Synopsis: This awful,
cringe-inducing story about a public relations executive and his obnoxious pop
star client was filmed at the fag end of the Swinging Sixties, and it has dated
very badly. Although the film toys around with the moral issue of abortion, it
never achieves more than a glossy vacuity, while screenwriters Allan Scott and
Chris Bryant show little of the brilliance they exhibited three years later
with their work on Nicolas Roeg's Don't Look Now.
Cast: Rod
Taylor, Carol White Runtime: 89 min Quality: very
good. *Note: USA and Canadian customers should check their dvd players
