The Canterville Ghost (1944)

Synopsis: Charles Laughton plays the ghost of Simon de Canterville, entombed alive by his father 300 years ago for cowardice. He now roams his castle looking for a kinsman to free him by performing a brave deed.

But the Canterville family are all cowards too! But along comes a new hope, Cuffy Williams (Robert Young), a long lost nephew who has to deal with the ghost and the Lady Jessica (played by 6 year old Margaret O'Brien)
