Thank Your Lucky Stars (1943)

Synopsis: One of the most enjoyable of Hollywood's patriotic, star-studded wartime concoctions, this Warner Bros extravaganza is a joy from start to finish, as Eddie Cantor takes us on a magic carpet ride through show-biz land. Here are unlikely and delightful songbirds Errol Flynn and Bette Davis singing, respectively,

That's What You Jolly Well Get and They're Either Too Young or Too Old; and there's also super work from Ann Sheridan and Dinah Shore, and a particularly fine production number involving Hattie McDaniel. Watch also for tough palookas John Garfield and Humphrey Bogart sending themselves up. It's virtually plotless, so wherever you join it you'll have a terrific time.
