Street People (1976)

Synopsis: It's a double-cross obviously, considering the country of origin of this very conventional Mafia thriller. The only novelty is the pairing of Stacy Keach (racing-driver friend) and Roger Moore (half-Sicilian lawyer) who probe the disappearance of a consignment of heroin.

Director Maurizio Lucidi skitters from San Francisco to Sicily and back again, and amazingly it took six writers to come up with such a humdrum idea. Mind you, the shock of watching Moore play a Mafia mouthpiece is a stunning enough concept in itself.
