Singleton's Pluck (1984, TV, dvd)

Synopsis: When farmer Ian Holm faces a strike by his workforce, he decides to walk his Christmas-fattened geese from Norfolk to London's Smithfield market and the slaughterhouse.

Actor Brian Glover's script incorporates union-bashing and media-lashing, but can't make the human characters very likeable, although Bill Owen does appear as one of the accompanying vocal yokels.

The bleak East Anglian landscape gets the artistic treatment — silhouetted figures on the flat horizon.
