Polly (1989)(dvd)

Synopsis: Debbie Allen (the dance teacher in Fame and choreographer of many an Oscar ceremony dance number) here directs a Disney remake of the Pollyanna tale, adding music and a predominantly black cast which includes Cosby Show members Phylicia Rashad and Keshia Knight Pulliam.

It's a fun romp, given added kudos by the presence of Hollywood veteran Celeste Holm, who looks as wonderful now as she did back in 1956 when she sang Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? with Frank Sinatra in High Society.
