Melvin Purvis G-MAN (1974)(dvd)

Synopsis: This was the first of two gangster films made by director Curtis and star Robertson, and it moves quite well. Excellent period detail and some fast action help make this a memorable made-for-TV film. If you grew up during the 1970's, you knew that the ABC Movie of the Week series brought out many film films - many more entertaining than their theatrical counterparts. This is one of them; director Curtis - of "The Night Stalker" fame - has an immediately recognizable style that is under-rated by critics. Fun film - sequel: "The Kansas City Massacre."
