Master of the World (1961)(dvd)
Synopsis: With his usual
suave and sinister panache, Vincent Price plays a 19th-century inventor who
plans to destroy all of mankind's weapons from a flying airship in this uneven
adaptation of two Jules Verne novels. Spiced up with stock battle footage taken
from other costume epics (the reason why the Globe theatre suddenly appears in
Victorian London), it's a cheap and cheerful fantasy that comes across as a
highly moralistic antiwar fable.
Charles Bronson (reunited with Price
for the first time since House of Wax) plays the government agent who discovers
the inventor's Pennsylvania lair and tries to thwart his
schemes.
