Synopsis: One of those
Swinging Sixties curios starring Judy Geeson and Adrienne Posta that abound
with white boots, sooty eyes, pelmet skirts and Thunderbirds-style dancing.
Originally a rather slight but charming novel by Hunter Davies about a young
bloke who longs to acquire his very own dolly bird, it has been turned into an
English Tourist Board commercial, extolling the delights of fab young Britain.
The book's teeth have been firmly extracted and replaced instead by the
soft gums of nonstop swingdom. You half expect the Fab Four themselves to turn
up, grinning with cheeky chappie fun, at the local disco.
