Cathy Come Home (1966)

Synopsis: This was originally aired on the 16th November 1966. As one reviewer put it, its a great way to ruin an evening. When first shown it opened the eyes of millions in this country to the problems many young women with children were facing and the establishments which were in place to actually help turned out to be the oposite.

This film is about Cathy, played by Carol White, who loses her husband, her home and eventually her child. Set in mid 60's London , one of the consequences was the formation of the charity "Shelter".
