Synopsis: Thick layers of
plot make for a very thin enterprise in a film that lacks any central focus
point. It's the kind of picture that is so mesmerised by the detail of its
basic idea (what if General Patton was killed just after the war in the course
of his investigation into a gold bullion heist?) it allows class performers to
wander in and out of the story, spouting slabs of dialogue rather than
