Bombers B-52 (1952)

Synopsis: Released in this country under the title No Sleep till Dawn, this is a clumsy melodrama directed with little sense of either drama or irony by Gordon Douglas. Karl Malden might not have had the greatest range in Hollywood, but he could fret like few others.

Here he gets the chance to work himself into a right old lather as he considers a move into civvy street, as well as daughter Natalie Wood's romance with flashy flyboy Efrem Zimbalist Jr. Cinematographer William Clothier captures some nifty flying sequences, but the story seems to be permanently taxiing along the runway waiting for instructions to take off.
