Synopsis: Set in 1912 this
delightful movie stars Alistair Sim as an inspector who calls on a wealthy
family to relay the news that a young woman has been found dead by poisoning
and he needs to find out how the family were involved in her life. At first
they all deny knowledge of her but as the plot unfolds they all appear to have
been in some way responsible for her taking her own life.
This is a
highly polished production, made all the more irresistible by another superb
performance from Alastair Sim, in a dramatic role for a change, playing the
mysterious police officer whose accusations destroy the beautifully established
domestic bliss.
This film is currently being studied in many schools. We
can supply schools and education centres with an invoice if

Beware of some fake copies being sold on ebay, some are
