A Taste Of Evil (1971)

Synopsis: Veteran Hammer scriptwriter Jimmy Sangster updated his 1961 psychological shocker Scream of Fear for this early Aaron Spelling produced TV movie thriller — with mixed results. Overfamiliarity dogs the Les Diaboliques-inspired plot in which rape victim Barbara Parkins is either going crazy or the victim of a fiendish scheme.

Barbara Stanwyck is good value in the role originally played by Ann Todd, with Roddy McDowall, William Windom and Arthur O'Connell keeping the suspense going, as the other possible suspects.
